How We Work With Builders and Designers

Builders hire us to finish on time with no callbacks; designers hire us to build exactly what they specified. Our process is set up for both.

For Builders and Remodelers

  • Production in our shop while your crew works
  • A written timeline you can put on the schedule
  • Install in a short window, cleaned up the same day

For Interior Designers

  • Stain samples made on your project's wood
  • Your approval before we build
  • Execution true to your spec, down to the sheen

For Both

  • The same small team from measure to install
  • Beams, mantel and shelves in one wood and stain
  • Insured, with a 5-year warranty

What We Build for Your Projects

We build three finish features in real wood, all in our own shop: ceiling beams, fireplace mantels and floating shelves.

Our core work is the ceiling beams we build for flat, vaulted and rustic ceilings, as three-sided box beams in pine, white oak, red oak, maple, walnut, poplar, or character-grade and rough-sawn lumber. Mantels and floating shelves complete the package in the same species and stain.

Built Hollow, Fastened to the Framing

Our box beams are decorative and much lighter than solid timber, so they fasten to the ceiling framing without structural changes. Your superintendent can review our box beam construction details before the install.

Not Structural Beams

We don't build load-bearing beams. If the plans call for a beam that carries load, that stays with your engineer and framer; we can wrap the look around the structure once it is designed.

See Our Work Before You Bring Us In

The best way to judge a sub is the finished work. Our project gallery shows real beams and mantels in Charlotte-area homes.

Each project lists the service and, as more stories are published, the wood and the area. Browse our finished projects and send us the ones closest to your build.

Designers: Samples First

For interior design specification work, ask for samples before anything else. We make them on the actual wood of the project, so the approved color is the color that gets installed.

Trade Questions, Answered

Straight answers to what builders and designers ask us before the first project.

Can you work on my construction schedule?

Yes. We build in our Indian Trail shop while your crew works, then install in a short window that fits your timeline.

Can you work from my plans or drawings?

Yes. Send drawings or photos, and we will confirm every dimension on site before we build.

Will you match my exact finish?

We make stain samples on the actual wood of your project and get your approval before we build.

Who will I be working with?

The same small team from measurement to installation, so the people you brief are the people who build and install.

Your price is higher than my usual sub. Why?

You get real wood, built in our own shop and installed by the same team, with a 5-year warranty on materials and labor. That means fewer callbacks and no surprises at closing.

Do you build mantels and floating shelves for builds too?

Yes. We build ceiling beams, fireplace mantels and floating shelves, and can make all three in the same wood and stain for one cohesive finish package.
